Harishankar Parsai

Harishankar Parsai (22 August 1924 – 10 August 1995) was a legendary Indian writer, essayist, and satirist who revolutionized modern Hindi literature. Born in Jamani village near Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh, he is widely credited as the pioneer who elevated vyangya (satire) from a tool of light-hearted entertainment into a formal, respected literary genre capable of addressing complex societal, economic, and political issues
