Shrilal Shukla (31 December 1925 – 28 October 2011) was an eminent Hindi writer and satirist celebrated for his sharp, humorous, and deeply analytical critiques of post-independence Indian society. His landmark work, Raag Darbari, is widely considered a masterpiece of modern Indian literature for its unmatched portrayal of rural politics and institutional corruption
